NA Standing Committee gives opinions on votes of confidence
(VOV) - The 13th National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee has offered its opinions on a resolution regarding the process, procedures and methods for votes of confidence on people in positions elected or approved by the NA or People’s Councils.
At the ongoing 12th session on October 6, NA deputies agreed that the resolution on this issue is legal according to the current legal regulations.
Most NA deputies said that votes of confidence should be held annually through a standard process based on voting via ballot.
Accordingly, the NA Standing Committee will submit the names of those who receive more than 50 percent of the votes of confidence for two consecutive years to the NA.
If the votes of confidence are very low, another vote of confidence will be implemented immediately without waiting for further results in the following years.
On the same day, the NA Standing Committee also discussed the draft law on historic icons in the capital city, honorary Hanoi citizenship, residential management in the capital, and municipal financial mechanisms, administrative policies, and penalties.
