NA Standing Committee convenes its 28th meeting

(VOV) -The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee opened its 28th meeting on May 15 in Hanoi.

NA deputies assessed the government’s supplementary report on the implementation of the 2013 socio-economic development and State budget plan, as well as the overall social situation in the first four months of this year.

They agreed that the NA’s overall targets set for 2013 had been achieved, reflecting the great efforts of the government and political system, business, and people.

NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh  Hung chairs the 28th meeting in Hanoi.

Vietnam has seen positive changes in its socio-economic development during the first four months of this year compared with last year’s same period, especially in terms of services and investment attraction.

However, they said that no breakthrough changes have been made in economic development with low capital absorbability and credit growth far below expectations.

The delegates also opine a report on supervising the implementation of legal policies for poverty reduction in the 2005-2012 period.
