Lawmakers prepare for next NA session
VOV.VN - The 9th session of the 14th NA Standing Committee was convened on April in Hanoi to prepare for the 3rd session of the 14th NA set to take place on May 20.
In his speech, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the six-day meeting will be divided into two parts, with the first one focusing on law making and the second being question-&-answer sessions.
On April 18, the NA Standing Committee will hold a Q&A session with the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and Minister of Information and Communications.
The deputies will also discuss revisions to the Laws on Supporting SMEs, the Management and Utilization of State Property, the State Compensation Responsibility, and Planning and the Criminal Code. The 2018 program on law and ordinance building will also be on the agenda.
NA Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong said that it’s necessary to ensure social insurance for employees in small and medium-sized enterprises.
“We respect domestic and foreign investors but we must protect the interests of employees. This is our commitment to the international community. Workers should benefit from social welfare,” Phong said.
