Government meeting reviews situation during Tet
VOV.VN - On February 15, the government convened a meeting to discuss the situation during the Lunar New Year festival (Tet) and the implementation of this year’s tasks.
In his address, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised efforts to ensure a happy and safe Tet for the Vietnamese people.
He asked ministries and sectors to work on their own plans to realize the target growth rate of 6.5% this year as well as targets set at the 12th National Party Congress.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development needs to boost agricultural and forest production, and prevent drought in the central region, salt intrusion in the South and severe cold in the North, the Deputy PM said.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was asked to manage festivals to ensure thrift, safety and efficiency.
Meanwhile, the National Committee for Traffic Safety and the Transport Ministry were required to strictly punish cases of traffic violation.
The same day, Phuc paid a Tet visit to the Central Committee for Citizen Reception.
