Deputy PM pays Tet visit to Nam Dinh
(VOV) - Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai visited northern Nam Dinh province on February 12 (the third day of lunar January), extending his New Year wishes and inspecting the province’s agricultural production situation for the Winter-Spring crop.
Hai praised Nam Dinh’s achievements in constructing rural areas and congratulated the province on its thorough preparations for the Winter-Spring crop. He added that the Party and State is always interested in assisting agricultural production by adopting incentive policies for farmers.
The Deputy PM asked Nam Dinh to boost agricultural production by focusing on developing high quality rice strains, preventing insect epidemics, and adapting to the potential impacts of climate change.
He also requested the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) and other relevant agencies to scrutinize the agricultural insurance offered to farmers.
