Conference reviews mass mobilization work

(VOV) - The Central Party Commission for Mass Mobilisation hosted an online conference with 63 provinces and cities on July 15 to review mass mobilization work in the first half of 2013 and designate tasks set for the remainder of this year.

The conference heard that during the reviewed period, the commission coordinated with central ministries, sectors, and Party organisations to help the Politburo and Secretariat approve a project and issue resolution No. 25 on reinforcing the Party’s mass mobilisation leadership in the future.

The commission also consulted with the two bodies to present opinions on two important projects: one on supervisory regulations critics of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) and other political and social organisations, and another on Party and administration building feedback.

Conference participants admitted the quality and efficiency of mass mobilization work showed little sign of improvements.

Can Tho City Party Organisation Vice Secretary Nguyen Huu Loi underlined the need to bolster VFF’s supervisory role, transforming it into a mainstay of the people so as to consolidate their trust.

The commission’s key responsibilities for the remainder of 2013 are focused around discussing Party and administration building, deepening understandings of ordinary citizens’ perspectives on complaints and denunciations, and monitoring the implementation of the Party’s Resolution No 11 on mass mobilisation work.
