Candidate for President submitted
The 14th National Assembly Standing Committee submitted Tran Dai Quang as a candidate for the position of State President for the 2016-2020 term to the NA during the first session of the 14th NA on July 25.

Previously the same day, legislators heard reports from the NA Standing Committee on its approval of Vice Chairmen of the NA's Council for Ethnic Affairs, deputy heads and standing members of NA committees.
The Na Standing Committee considered and approved 34 Vice Chairmen and deputy heads of NA Committees, and 45 standing members for the Ethnic Affairs Council and other NA committees.
