Anti-corruption report under NA discussion

(VOV) -The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee will discuss a report on anti-corruption during its 41st session to be held from September 14- 21.
The deputies will comment on the revised Criminal Code, preparations for the 10th session of 13th NA and revisions to a number of Laws.
Reports on the performance of the Supreme People’s Court and the Director of the People’s Procuracy, and reports on the government’s implementation of judgments and anti-crime and anti-corruption efforts will also be discussed.
At this session, the NA Standing Committee will also comment on the performances of the People’s Councils, the establishment of a National Election Council and the National Election Day for the elections to the National Assembly and People’s Councils.
Meanwhile, on September 9, the NA Judicial Committee convened its 21st session in preparation for the meetings of the National Assembly Standing Committee to be held this month, as well as and the 10th session of the 13th NA.
In his speech, Head of the Committee Nguyen Van Hien said that the Committee will comment on the government’s report on fighting crime in 2015, and the Supreme People’s Court’s report on the court sector’s performance and the settlement of complaints and denunciations this year.
The government will also update deputies on the implementation of court judgments and the fight against corruption.
The draft Ordinance on training a number of judicial titles will also be high on the agenda.
