1,500 delegations pay homage to President Quang

VOV.VN -Around 1,500 domestic and international delegations with roughly 50,000 people paid their last respects to President Tran Dai Quang by 17:00 on September 26, as announced by the National Funeral Organising Board.

The Cambodian delegation led by Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen pay tribute to President Tran Dai Quang at the National Funeral Hall.
Tribute-paying ceremonies were also held at the Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and in his home town Quang Thien Commune, Kim Son District, Ninh Binh Province.

Most of the delegations paid their respects to President Tran Dai Quang at the National Funeral Hall, No. 5 Tran Thanh Tong, Hanoi, the Board said.

The leaders, former leaders of the Party, the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) together with those from other central committees, ministries, mass organizations, provinces and cities, armed forces, diplomatic missions, International and domestic organizations, and individuals at home and abroad also paid homage to and extended condolences to late President Tran Dai Quang's family.

Party, State, Government, National Assembly leaders from different countries sent condolences to their Vietnamese counterparts and President Tran Dai Quang's family. In particular, numerous countries have dispatched their high-level delegations, ambassadors, representatives and chief representatives of international organizations in Hanoi in order to pay tribute to President Tran Dai Quang and extend their deepest sympathies with his family.

The memorial service will be held at 7:30am on September 27 at the National Funeral Hall, the Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and the President’s native land.

The burial ceremony is set to take place from 3:30pm on the same day in his native land in Quang Thien commune, Kim Son district, Ninh Binh province.
