Vietnam, Russia boost security cooperation
A delegation of Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security led by Minister To Lam discussed cooperation on security issues with Russia’s security leaders on May 27.
The two sides stressed the necessity to have closer cooperation to deal with the increasingly sophisticated crimes like terrorism, high-tech crime, drug crime and human trafficking.
They agreed on boosting exchanges of delegation and information and experience sharing to deal with cybersecurity, terrorism and high-tech crime, and on working together in investigation, verification and manhunts for wanted criminals.
The two sides also reached consensus on the training of officials to meet demand for ensuring national security, order and social safety in each country.
The Vietnamese delegation is on an official visit to Russia, during which they attend the 7th international meeting of senior security officials on May 24-25.
