Vietnam–Japan strategic partnership strengthened

(VOV) - Japan will always value the strategic partnership with Vietnam and continue assisting the country during its industrialisation and modernisation.

Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Akitaka Saiki made the statement at a meeting with Vietnamese Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on December 5.

Saiki said the Strategic Partnership Dialogue, the Vietnam-Japan Cooperation Committee and other dialogue mechanisms between the ministries and departments of both countries play an important role in strengthening bilateral ties in a comprehensive and effective manner.

At the Vietnam–Japan Strategic Partnership Dialogue the same day, Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son and Saiki shared views on the strategic partnership between the two countries, foreign policies, national security and defence policies, as well as regional and international issues of mutual concern.
