Vietnam greatly values ties with China

VOV.VN -National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu assured Vietnam’s consistent stance on treasuring ties with the Party, State, and people of China while receiving the Chairman of the Constitution and Law Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, Li Fei, in Hanoi on November 5.

He voiced his hope that the policies and common principles on both nations’ relations as agreed by their Party and State leaders will be carried out effectively.

Based on similar political regimes and lawmaking activities, the Vietnamese NA’s Law Committee and the Chinese Constitution and Law Committee need to boost close cooperation to share legislative experience and advise their respective legislative bodies, parties, and states to refine the socialist law-governed state institution and law systems, Luu said.

The Chinese official, in turn, showed his hope that the two countries will intensify exchanges to reinforce their comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

Earlier the same day, the Chinese delegation had talks with officials of the Vietnamese NA’s Law Committee, during which Chairman of the Law Committee Nguyen Khac Dinh gave a brief introduction of his agency, saying that the Vietnamese committee and the Chinese Constitution and Law Committee share many similarities in their functions and tasks.

There should be more meetings to exchange experience between the two organizations, thus helping to further foster solidarity and cooperation.

Sharing this view, Li Fei said that through the talks, his nation can more learn about the lawmaking experience from the Vietnamese legislature, which will advance closer collaboration as well as mutual support at multilateral forums.
