Vietnam continually facilitates youth exchanges with Laos

Vietnamese Party and State leaders continually facilitate youth exchanges with Laos, thereby educating the two countries’ young generations about the fine traditions founded and nurtured by their predecessors.

Politburo member and Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission Truong Thi Mai was speaking during a reception in Hanoi on April 5 for First Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union Sonthanu Thammavong.

Mai expressed her belief that the visit would contribute to raising understanding and fostering solidarity and a special friendship between the two peoples.

Thammavong expressed his gratefulness to the Vietnamese Party, State and people for their support to Laos in the past as well as at present.

He pledged that the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union will stand side by side with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to expand new forms of cooperation and develop the Vietnam – Laos special solidarity.
