Top legislator receives foreign diplomats
VOV.VN - National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on June 8 received Russian, Japanese, Cuban ambassadors in Hanoi.

She told her guest she is scheduled to visit Russia for the conference of female leaders in St. Petersburg in 2018.
At a meeting with Japanese Ambassador Fukada Hiroshi on the same day, the NA leader praised the cooperation between the two legislative bodies.
She asked Japan to help Vietnam in coping with salt intrusion in the Mekong River Delta and drought in the Central Highlands.

The ambassador said Japan would continue to provide ODA for Vietnam and help it to cope with climate change.
A number of delegations from the Japanese Parliament would visit Vietnam in August to bolster bilateral cooperation, he added.
Receiving the Cuban Ambassador Herminio Lopez Diaz, Ms Ngan hailed Cuba’s achievements in socio-economic development and external relations affairs, especially the US’lifting of its embargo on Cuba.
The Cuban diplomat pledged his best efforts to augment bilateral cooperation with Vietnam.
