President Quang on day one of State visit to Japan

President Tran Dai Quang, his wife, and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation arrived in Tokyo at noon on May 29, beginning a five-day State visit to Japan at the invitation of the Japanese State. |
The Vietnamese President was welcomed at Haneda International Airport with a 21-gun salute in the presence of many government officials from both sides. |
The visit takes place in the context that the two countries are celebrating the 45th anniversary of their diplomatic ties. |
After his arrival, President Quang visits Gunma Prefecture, which is one of the leading industrial manufacturing centers in Japan. |
At a meeting with Gunma prefecture’s Governor Masaaki Osawa, President Quang asks Gunma to step up cooperation with Vietnamese localities so as to fully tap potential of both sides by intensifying people-to-people exchanges and boost collaboration in tourism and investment. |
Gunma governor Osawa says 12 businesses from the prefecture have invested in Vietnam. Gunma is also helping almost 40 enterprises prepare to invest in the country in the time ahead. |
