The host thanked Qatar for recognising Vietnam as a full market economy and asked the two nations to boost two-way trade.
Vietnam wants to increase exports of products of its strength and Qatar’s demand such as food produce, he said, adding that the country is able to supply food to Qatar over a long term.
The leader wished to intensify financial-investment cooperation with Qatar as well as partner with the Middle East country in receiving and training Vietnamese workers, while affirming that Vietnam stands ready to support Qatar to invest in the country.
The ambassador, for his part, said he was honoured to pay a courtesy call to the PM for the second time.
He told the host that he discussed measures to strengthen bilateral ties with Vietnamese ministries and agencies as advised by the PM during the previous reception, saying that he met leaders of the ministries of Planning and Investment, and Industry and Trade and agreed that business opportunities are plentiful in Vietnam.
He hoped that more pre-feasibility studies will be sent to Qatar for business consideration and pledged that more scholarships will be provided for Vietnamese students.
