PM Phuc hosts former US Senator
VOV.VN - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has said the Vietnam-US cooperation ties have progressed bilaterally and multilaterally, benefiting the two countries and regional peace, stability, cooperation, and development.
At a February 3 reception for former US Senator James Webb in Hanoi, the Prime Minister said Vietnam continues to respect and boost ties with the US to deepen their comprehensive partnership.
He expressed the wish to receive further support from the former Senator in any field.
Former Senator Webb congratulated the Vietnamese government’s recent achievements and hailed positive changes in Vietnam since his first arrival in the country in 1991.
Welcoming the recent telephone talks between Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and President Donald Trump, Mr Webb described it a good sign for bilateral ties. He also pledged to do his utmost to boost US-Vietnam relations in the time ahead.
