Vietnam-Japan cooperation has progressed in a variety of fields, delivering benefits to both sides. Japan is Vietnam’s biggest investor and major trade partner. As the biggest ODA provider of Vietnam, its ODA funding has positively contributed to boosting Vietnam’s socio-economic development.

The Vietnamese Government supports cooperation between VNA and Kyodo aiming to improve the Vietnam-Japan strategic partnership in a practical and effective manner, Dung said.

For his part, the Japanese guest expressed his delight at his trip to Vietnam which coincides with the 40th anniversary celebration of the two nations’ diplomatic ties.

He said his visit aims to bolster ties between the two news agencies and deepen mutual understanding between the two peoples.
