Party leader hosts President of Poland

VOV.VN - Vietnam sticks great importance to traditional friendship with Poland, said Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong while receiving President of Poland Andrzej Duda in Hanoi on November 28.

At the reception , Party chief Trong extolled Poland’s pragmatic support for Vietnam as well as its position and role in Europe and the outcomes of talks between the two Presidents.

He highlighted the visit as a new step marking positive development of bilateral ties, saying he backs the further promotion of ties between the two States and peoples in areas of strength and demand such as mining, environment protection, agriculture and food processing. 


Duda, in turn, affirmed his nation's recognition of high importance to reinforcing traditional friendship and cooperation with Vietnam and pledged to implement signed cooperation agreements across economics, finance, education-training, agriculture, environment protection and the media. 

He briefed Trong on the opening of the representative office of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Ho Chi Minh City to push for stronger bilateral economic and trade ties in  future.

He said he hopes the Vietnamese people would reap even greater achievements in the Doi Moi (Renewal) process to develop Vietnam into a strong and affluent nation.
