Party leader calls for further promotion of Vietnam-Morocco relations

VOV.VN -Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has described the Vietnam visit by President of the Moroccan House of Representatives Habib El Malki as a highlight of good relations between the two legislative bodies and the traditional friendly relationship between the two countries.

At a meeting in Hanoi on December 19 with the Moroccan guest, Trong urged Vietnam and Morocco to further bilateral relations, improve cooperation mechanisms and intensify delegation exchange at all level as well as people-to-people exchanges.

The Party chief thanked Morocco for its solidarity with and support to Vietnam during its past struggles for national liberation and reunification and the current process of national construction and development and extolled 
Morocco’s role in the Middle East-North Africa region.

For his part, Malki showed his desire and determination to promote the friendship and cooperation between the two countries and the two legislatures while asking
 the two countries to take full advantage of opportunities and fully tap huge potential to push up bilateral ties for mutual development.

The President praised Vietnam’s external and internal policies as well as its great achievements and role in the region and the world, saying he believes that
 under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), the Vietnamese people will reap greater successes in the process of national construction, protection and development.
