National Assembly leader begins Laos visit

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan has arrived in the Lao capital Vientiane, beginning an official visit to Laos from September 26-27 at the invitation of her Lao counterpart Pany Yathotou.

Ngan and the Vietnamese NA delegation were met at the airport by Vice Chairman of Lao National Assembly Bunphon Buttanavon, Chairman of the Lao NA’s External Relations Committee Eksavang Vongvichit and Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Manh Hung.

The visit, the first abroad by Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan as Chairwoman of the National Assembly, aims to further bolster the time-honoured friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the Parties, States and people of Vietnam and Laos.

It also aims to carry out cooperation agreements between the two National Assemblies and enhance exchange and experience sharing between them.
