Mexico City keen to build cooperative ties with HCM City
Mexico City is willing to establish multi-faceted cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City, especially in healthcare, technology innovation and tourism.
The Mayor said the most important thing to do is to share experience in socio-economic development, urban management, environmental protection and cultural preservation and draft a cooperation agenda.
Tam said both cities have advantages in economics, culture, history, and sustainable development policies, enabling the two sides to set up a long-term partnership.
She invited the Mayor to visit Vietnam and HCM City to enhance understanding and collaboration.
Earlier, she had working sessions with the host’s management agencies on development policies and strategies in urban management, housing development, and conservation of UNESCO-recognised cultural and historical relic sites in Mexico City.
