Ho Chi Minh City hopes to strengthen ties with Indian localities
Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council, Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam, welcomed Doraisamy Raja, Politburo member of the Communist Party of India, in the city on July 4.

Ho Chi Minh City and several Vietnamese localities have actively coordinated with Indian localities in order to contribute to the two countries’ relations, she stated.
She expressed her hope that the Indian party and the guest in particular will act as a bridge boosting the cooperation between Indian localities and Ho Chi Minh City and other Vietnamese localities.
The Indian official said he was impressed with the development of Ho Chi Minh City, believing that the city will reap more fruits.
The Communist Party of India wishes to learn from Vietnam’s experience in implementing its renewal policy, he said.
