HCM City works to boost Vietnam-Cuba ties
Ho Chi Minh City will do its utmost to strengthen the relationship between Vietnam and Cuba.
Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Le Thanh Hai made the commitment at a June 20 reception for First Vice President of the Council of State and Member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Cuba, Miguel Diaz Canel.
Canel said his visit aims to accelerate and complete the signing of economic cooperation agreements between the two countries, creating a foundation for both sides to boost cooperation in trade, investment, telecommunications, and oil and gas exploitation.
Cuba wants to exchange experience with Vietnam in educating political thoughts for young generations as well as the Party’s role in managing and guiding the development of communications and the Internet, he noted.
