Deputy PM hosts Hungarian Minister of State
VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on January 11 received Balogh Csaba, Minister of State at Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The Deputy PM Minh hailed the two Governments’ efforts in accelerating the finalization of the framework agreement on credit cooperation worth EUR 440 million, noting that the deal is a good preparation for an official visit to Vietnam set for April by Hungarian PM Viktor Orban.
The signing of the agreement between the Vietnamese and Hungarian Governments represents an important landmark in the two countries’ diplomatic activities this year, he added.
Under this framework agreement, both sides will carry out cooperation projects in the fields of Hungary’s strength and Vietnam’s demand such as water resources management, wastewater treatment, information technology, cyber security and health care, Minh said.
He also glowingly spoke of cooperation mechanisms at all levels between the two countries and reiterated Vietnam's readiness to welcome the Hungarian PM this April.
Bilateral trade remains low and is far from matching the countries’ full potential and expectations. It is essential to review the implementation of the minutes of the sixth session of their joint committee on economic cooperation so as to design new cooperation programmes in preparation for the seventh session, slated for March in Hungary.
At the meeting, the officials also acknowledged the role of Vietnamese people who were trained in Hungary in stepping bilateral ties and deepening mutual understanding.
