Yen Bai to play host to paragliding festival
VOV.VN -A paragliding festival running with the theme of “Flying in The Yellow Season” is scheduled to take place from September 20 to September 22 on the Khau Pha mountain pass in Mu Cang Chai district in the northwestern province of Yen Bai.

Upon attending the event, visitors will have the chance to participate in a carnival, in addition to meeting some of the paragliding pilots and local people, all amid the backdrop of magnificent terraced rice fields which guests will have a bird’s eye view of.
The Paragliding Festival made its debut in Mu Cang Chai district back in 2013.
During the first festival, the event saw 30 paragliders take part with only 1,000 visitors in attendance.
The popularity of the occasion has grown exponentially in recent years with the last version of the event attracting more than 200 paragliders and nearly 20,000 visitors.
It has become a significant contributor to promoting local tourism and poverty reduction for ethnic minorities in the area.
