World Circus Festival kicks off in Ha Long

The start of the festival gets underway following preparation between the Quang Ninh provincial People's Committee, the Vietnam Circus Federation, and Viet Sing Joint Stock Company.

This is first time Quang Ninh province has hosted an event, which is expected to increase the number of tourists to Ha Long bay in the remaining months of the year.

A wide range of activities have been held during the event, including a gala featuring special circus performances, an international culinary festival, an exhibition introducing products from craft villages, and a circus competition.

During the show’s opening night, onlookers were treated to a performance of 14 unique circus acts, including shaking, tumbling, and magic. These displays were performed by artists and circus performers from Vietnam and other countries.

Vu Ngoan Hop, former director of the Vietnam Circus Federation, expressed his hope that the event running until November 17, will provide viewers with a glimpse of special circus performances by international artists, whilst also serving to introduce Vietnamese circus to the world.
