Women footballers to train in RoK

(VOV) - The national women football team will fly to the Republic of Korea (RoK) this September for a training course and two friendlies there in preparation for ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup 2013.

They will play the first match with the RoK’s women club on September 2 and the second with the RoK young team two days later.

As scheduled, the 24-member team of coach Tran Van Phat will gather at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre in Hanoi on August 1 and start training in Da Lat until August 14.

They will return to Hanoi on August 15 to have three matches with Hanoi’s U14 male football team on August 22, 24 and 26.

In all, the national team will have five weeks of training and five friendly matches before competing at AFF Cup 2013 in Myanmar from September 7-23.

Vietnam will be in group A with U19 Australia, Malaysia, Thailand and Jordan and face Thailand in the opening match on October 9.
