Windsor Plaza Saigon to host Japanese culinary fair

Those fond of Japanese cuisine and culture should head to the Windsor Plaza Hotel in District 5, HCMC to join a Japanese Culinary Festival from November 24 to December 3.

Guests can taste authentic Japanese dishes prepared by two Japanese guest chefs de cuisine - Yosuke Suzuki who has many years of culinary experience, and Takeshi Yamada, who has served as head chef at the Japanese embassies in France and the Czech Republic.

A representative of the hotel told the Daily that one of the highlights of the ten-day event is a traditional Japanese rice cake pounding ceremony and Japanese-style dance shows every night.

There will be some booths showcasing traditional Japanese handicrafts, fashion items and dried food during the festival.

Diners can also join a lucky draw on the final night, with a grand prize of two return flights to one of four major Japanese cities – Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya or Fukuoka, sponsored by JTB, a leading Japanese travel firm.

The buffet will be available from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Café Central An Dong on level 4 of the hotel, with prices starting from VND648,000++ per person from Monday to Friday, and VND738,000++ on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a free flow of German beer, fruit juices and soft drinks.

The Windsor Plaza Hotel is located at 18 An Duong Vuong Street, District 5, HCMC.
