VTV to host New Year Gala
(VOV) -Vietnam Television (VTV)’s channel 1 will broadcast a ‘Four Seasons’ New Year gala welcoming 2013 at 8:00 PM on January 1.
The 2007 Miss Vietnam World Ngo Phuong Lan will represent spring, introducing the traditional beauty of Vietnamese women and the characters of Vietnamese people worldwide.
The summer representative—violinist Bui Cong Duy—will discuss the aspirations of youth, while autumn representative and ballet dancer Linh Nga will share her experiences of international culture and the integration of Vietnamese arts. Writer Chu Lai will play the role of winter.
The programme will also feature samples of festivals celebrated by a variety of the world’s ethnicities and beautiful songs performed by singers Thanh Lam, Hong Nhung, My Linh, My Tam, Tung Duong, Ho Ngoc Ha, and Uyen Linh.
Do Thanh Hai, the director of the VTV Film Production Centre (VFC), said the careful stage, guest, and music preparations mean the gala promises to be an excellent night of programming.
