VOV.VN - The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) Theatre in Hanoi played host to a unique art event on May 17 on the occasion of the upcoming 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890-May 19, 2020).
The special occasion takes place at the VOV Theatre on the evening of May 17.
National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong sits alongside top Party and State officials at the event.
VOV President Nguyen The Ky can be seen in attendance at the art programme, alongside various vice presidents and heads of different VOV departments.
Contemporary witnesses who actually spent time working with Uncle Ho share their stories with members of the audience.
Chu Duc Tinh, former director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, states that he spent a total of 35 years collecting documents and items relating to the life of President Ho Chi Minh. He uses the event as a platform to introduce an array of heartfelt stories which feature Uncle Ho, the Vietnamese people, and international friends.
Plenty of songs and dances are performed throughout the occasion which praise the late Vietnamese President.
