VND100 million prize for each semi-final Miss Earth contestant
VOV.VN - Each participant of the Miss Earth Vietnam 2021 pageant who makes it to the semi-final round will receive prize money of VND100 million following a decision taken by organisers, making it one the most unique aspects of any local beauty contest.
During the upcoming grand finale of the competition a total of four winners will be granted awards, making it the first Vietnamese pageant to have four beauty queens.
The four titles on offer include Miss Earth Vietnam, Miss Earth Air, Miss Earth Water, and Miss Earth Fire, with each one being handed out to the winners in line with the format of the Miss Earth pageant. Following this, each of the winners will represent the country at upcoming global beauty contests.
Due to the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the pageant’s organisers will be receiving online profiles of contestants through e-mail or through the pageant’s fan page until September 5.
Furthermore, the organisers will interview each entrant through Zoom or Google Meet before making an announcement regarding the contestants who qualify for the preliminary round which will take place on October 2 in Ho Chi Minh City. The online format was first applied to the Miss Earth 2020 pageant due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The grand finale is scheduled to take place on December 4 in Lan village of Lac Duong district in the Central Highland province of Lam Dong.
The winner of Miss Earth Vietnam 2021 will be awarded VND2.5 billion, including a crown, a set of gold and gem jewelry, cash, and the right to compete for the Miss Earth 2021 crown.
The winners of Miss Earth Air Vietnam 2021, Miss Earth Water Vietnam, and Miss Earth Fire Vietnam will receive VND1.2 billion each, including a crown, a set of gold and gem jewelry, cash, and the right to represent the nation at future international beauty contests.
