VOV.VN - Vietnamese born Nguyen Nhu Quynh, 32, has beaten 39 contestants from other countries and territories worldwide to take home her first-place crown of the Mrs United Nations 2022 that concluded in New Delhi, India, on May 7.
In the grand finale, the Top 40 contestants participated in national costume, evening gown and Q&A competitions.
In the national costume competition, the Vietnamese contestant donned Ao Dai (the traditional Vietnamese long dress) featuring patterns of dragon and phoenix deriving inspiration behind Vietnamese culture.
By putting in a convincing performance, she stole the show and brought home the crown of the contest.
Contestants from India and Peru were given first and second runners-up places, respectively.
The Vietnamese beauty will take part in charity activities during her two-year term before transferring the crown to a new successor in the following contest.
