VN bakers to take part in international contest
A four-member Vietnamese team will take part in the international baking competition for the Louis Lesaffre Cup to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, in November.
They are Ho Thi Trang from Big C Binh Duong, Hoang Trong Thanh from Big C Da Nang, Nguyen Minh Nhan from Caravelle Hotel, and Nguyen Thi Nhon, a teenager baker from Life Project For Youth, who recently won the national round of the Louis Lesaffre Cup in HCM City.
It was the second time the competition was held in Viet Nam, ad it attracted 16 bakers working for some big names like Big C, Caravelle Hotel, ABC Bakery, Pullman Hotel, and H2 Bakery.
The international contest is organised by Lesaffre Group, a leading French yeast manufacturer, which launched it in 2003.
The Louis Lesaffre Cup is held in three-year cycles to identify finalists for the Bakery World Cup held every four years in Paris.
