Vinh clinches gold at World Shooting Cup
(VOV) - Hoang Xuan Vinh on April 6 bagged home a gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol Men at ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol in Changwon, the Republic of Korea.
After two competition stages, Vinh scored a total of 200.8 points, just 0.7 points more than Wang Zhiwei of China to seal the gold medal.
At the 2012 London Olympic Games, Wang won a bronze medal in the men’s 50m pistol, gaining just 0.1 point more than Vinh’s total.
Eight marksmen from China, Vietnam, India, Japan, Kazakhstan and the RoK competed in the category in Changwon.
