Vietnamese student receives Australian award
(VOV) - Vietnamese student Nguyen Trong Nghia has been honoured with South Australia’s International Student of the Year award.
Surpassing six other excellent students from Hong Kong, Canada, Malaysia, and Vietnam, Nghia won the award for his achievements across the varied fields of academics, community integration, arts, and sports.
Nghia is currently a third year student majoring in electricity and electronics at the University of Adelaide.
The jury council was very impressed by Nghia’s average mark of 6.95/7, as well as his successful integration into the Vietnamese and Australian communities through participation in his university’s clubs and associations.
Another Vietnamese student Pham Ngan also won the Academic Achievement Prize in the award’s high school category. Ngan is studying at a high school in Norwood Morialta, Adelaide.
