Vietnamese singer to debut for Korean boy band
VOV.VN - Dang Hong Hai is set to make his singing debut as one of the members of new K-pop boy band NEWKIES.
Most recently, DongGyo Entertainment Company unveiled on its website the official photo of the band, including the 21-year-old Vietnamese singer hailing from the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre.
Dang Hong Hai first drew attention during the Boys Planet contest at the 2022 Mnet Asian Music Awards. He was later eliminated from the contest in the second qualification round.
In October, 2023, he joined as a trainee at DongGyo Entertainment Company, according to Korean online newspaper News1.
Back in 2022, Vietnamese singer Ngo Ngoc Hung, or Hanbin, debuted as one of the seven members of K-pop group TEMPEST and left a positive impression on the Korean music industry.
