Vietnamese representative departs for Miss International Queen 2024 in Thailand
VOV.VN - Local representative Nguyen Tuong San departed Ho Chi Minh City on August 7 as she headed to Thailand to compete at Miss International Queen 2024, a beauty contest specifically held for transgender women.
She brought with her six separate pieces of luggage, including one carrying an outfit specifically for the national costume segment.
The 19-year-old girl hailing from Khanh Hoa province stands at 1.79 metres tall with body measurement of 83-56-84 cm.
Back in June, Tuong San, the first runner-up of Miss International Queen Vietnam 2023, was named as the country’s representative for the Miss International Queen 2024 contest.
Miss International Queen is owned and run by Thailand-based Tiffany's Show Pattaya Co, Ltd. and has been held annually in the Thai city of Pattaya since 2004.
This year will be the 18th edition of the contest, with Solange Dekker of the Netherlands set to crown her successor during the final night on August 24.
Vietnam has sent several contestants to the transgender pageant throughout its history, with Nguyen Huong Giang becoming the first Vietnamese representative to win the Miss International Queen crown back in 2018.
In 2022, Phung Truong Tran Dai secured a Top 6 finish at Miss International Queen. Last year saw Nguyen Ha Diu Thao claim a Top 10 finish whilst winning two sub-titles, including Best National Costume and Miss Popular Vote.
