Vietnamese photographers win three prizes at international aerial contest

VOV.VN - SkyPixel 2018, an annual contest to discover the world’s best aerial photo, has honoured three Vietnamese photographers who entered the contest. Their artworks depict sand dunes in Ninh Thuan, water lily harvesting in Long An, and a salt field in Khanh Hoa.
The SkyPixel 2018 contest is a popular annual event for the aerial photography community. This year’s edition attracted more than 30,000 submissions from professional photographers, videographers, aerial enthusiasts, and content creators from 141 countries from across the world. A photo named “Chay xuyen doi cat” (Running through the sand dunes) by photographer Pham Huy Trung of Ho Chi Minh city won the first prize in the sports category. |
A photo titled ‘Nhung bong hoa tren nuoc” (Flowers on the water) by photographer Khanh Phan of Ho Chi Minh city received the first prize in the fun category. |
HCM city photographer Nguyen Tan Tuan’s photo “Thu hoach muoi” (Salt harvest) was awarded the second prize in the fun category. |
The grand prize winner in the photo category went to Mont Saint Michel by German photographer Deryk Baumgartner. |
