Vietnamese novels hit Japan best seller list

(VOV) -Novels – Kinh Van Hoa (kaleidoscope) and Cho Toi Xin Mot Ve Di Tuoi Tho (Give me a ticket to childhood)– penned by Nguyen Nhat Anh have been cited among Japan’s top best-sellers.

The books translated from Vietnamese into Japanese have been cited by high profile Japanese Ten-Books Publisher as among the “top 105 best-sellers” in the nation.

The publication is widely circulated throughout the world including the UK, US, Canada and the Republic of Korea.

Kinh Van Hoa which also made the “top 50 best-sellers” short list, has set a milestone  as the first novel to receive such a high ranking with sales in the millions while Cho Toi Xin Mot Ve Di Tuoi Tho is gaining notoriety as a humorous and interesting novel, baring the fresh soul of the writer.

The publication aims to introduce readers to basic information about most-sought after books in countries around the world, facilitating continued translation of books in the future.

"Currently, we have many different ways to gain a better understanding of land, culture and people of other foreign countries, in which, books are seen as  a reliable way, " Anh shared.

It is also a good opportunity for Vietnam to promote its image to international friends.
