Vietnamese music student earns gold for classical aria at Asia Arts Festival

VOV.VN - Third-year music student Nguyen Thanh Chuc at the Vietnam National Academy of Music has won the gold prize at the 2025 Asia Arts Festival, currently taking place in Singapore.

Chuc impressed the judges with her rendition of the aria Le Violette from Alessandro Scarlatti’s opera Pirro e Demetrio.

Her soaring voice and precise technique earned high praise from the adjudicators and secured her the top prize.

The ongoing Asia Arts Festival 2025 in Singapore from July 12 to 19, drew more than 2,600 contestants from 20 countries and territories across Asia, as well as from Russia, Germany, Scotland, and New Zealand.

Launched in 2013, the festival provides a prominent platform for musicians and dancers of various genres to showcase their talent before a distinguished panel of international judges.
