Vietnamese food and coffee booths draw international visitors at ASEAN Bazaar 2026
VOV.VN - Coconut coffee, Vietnamese noodle soup (pho), fried spring rolls, handicraft products, and traditional art performances brought by the Vietnamese Embassy created a distinct attraction for international friends at the ASEAN Cultural and Culinary Fair 2026 in New Delhi, India.
At this year’s fair, the Vietnamese Embassy in India set up three booths featuring traditional cuisine, Vietnamese coffee, as well as handicrafts and souvenirs featuring national cultural identity.
At the food booth, traditional pho and fried spring rolls drew substantial attention and praise from diners, with their flavor, preparation, and presentation making the Vietnamese section a popular stop. Meanwhile, Vietnamese coffee stood out for its signature aroma and rich taste.
Devi, a visitor from Indonesia, ordered pho, fried spring rolls, and three of the four coffee varieties available at the booth. Expressing her preference for Vietnamese coconut coffee, she encouraged other visitors to try the offerings.
Ravnish, a resident of Delhi who visited Vietnam with his family two years ago, shared his lasting fondness for Vietnamese coffee. Spotting it at the fair, he immediately ordered a cup, noting that the flavor was identical to what he had in Vietnam, while adding that his family deeply loves the country.
Meanwhile, American tourist Tamara Williams expressed her enthusiasm for Vietnamese cuisine, particularly pho. She bought a portion to take home, describing it as a wonderful and satisfying meal.
Leaving the food stalls, visitors explored Vietnamese handicrafts and souvenirs, where each item showcased artisan skill and traditional motifs.
Alongside the culinary offerings, Vietnamese culture engaged international audiences through three special art performances.
While "Bac Bling" enlivened the venue with youth-oriented rhythms and spirited dance moves, the folk song "Beo Dat May Troi" brought a reflective, emotional note. A key highlight was a solo performance combining violin, piano, and guitar, creating a harmonious blend between modern music and traditional folk melody. Blending with these Vietnamese tunes, young singer Moc Lan performed "We Are the World," sending a message of love, solidarity, and global connection.
ASEAN Bazaar 2026 was a prominent event organized by the ASEAN Committee in New Delhi, drawing11 embassies from ASEAN member states and India.
Through thorough preparation and culturally rich presentations, the Vietnamese Embassy helped spread the image of a hospitable, creative, and tradition-rich Vietnam, while promoting cultural exchange, tourism, and people-to-people connections between Vietnam, ASEAN member states, and the international community in India.
