Vietnamese folk arts highlighted at cultural festival of three regions
VOV.VN - A folk culture festival of three regions showcasing the essence of traditional craft villages and Vietnamese folk arts, is taking place at Saigon Zoo and Botanical Gardens in Ho Chi Minh City from April 2-4, in celebration of the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day (10th day of the 3rd lunar month) and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification.

The highlight of the festival is 50 food stalls, with spaces decorated in an elegant, rich, and diverse style, vividly recreating the distinctive features of the cuisine from the three regions: North, Central, and South of Vietnam.
The stalls introduce delicious traditional food of the three regions, including bún bò Huế (spicy beef noodle soup), bánh bèo (steamed rice cakes topped with shrimp or pork), cơm hến (rice with baby clams), bánh tét ngũ sắc (five-colour cylinder glutinous rice cake), Ben Tre coconut wine, bún chả (grilled pork noodles), bún thang (noodles in chicken broth), and tào phớ (soya bean curd).
Visitors are immersed in a traditional cultural space, experiencing various Vietnamese crafts. In particular, tourists have the chance to taste a wide variety of unique dishes that are characteristic of each region.
Additionally, there are many signature dishes from Asian countries such as Thailand, Laos, the Republic of Korea (RoK), Japan, offering visitors an opportunity to experience and explore the rich culinary culture of multiple nations.
