Vietnamese films to be shown at International Film Festival 2011
The fifth Vietnamese International Film Festival (ViFF) will be held in Santa Ana, California in the US from April 7-10 and April 14-17.
The event will highlight the rapid development of Vietnamese or Vietnamese-origin film directors around the world.
The film festival will present 67 short and feature films from all over the world, including France, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam.
Vietnamese films to be screened during the festival include “Canh dong bat tan” (Immense Field), “Bay rong” (Dragon trap), “Bi, dung so!” (Bi, Don't be afraid), “Choi voi” (Adrift), and “Khi yeu dung quay dau lai” (Don't turn around when in love).
The event - the most anticipated cinematic event in the Vietnamese-American community – is the only on f its kind held especially for Vietnamese and Vietnamese-origin films and filmmakers.
