Vietnamese ethnic essence to shine in November

A festival, themed national solidarity and ethnic cultural essence, will take place at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism throughout November.

The village is located in Dong Mo, about 45km from Hanoi’s centre.

Participating ethnic communities, including Tay, Dao, Thai, Mong, Thai, Muong and S’tieng, are expected to showcase their folk dances, traditional food, crafts and games.

Daily activities are scheduled to introduce special features of each community to domestic and international visitors.

As part of the month-long event, the annual Great National Unity – Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Week will be held from November 18-23. It aims to celebrate the 87th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (November 18) and Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
