Vietnamese culture week in Sweden and Denmark slated for September
VOV.VN - The Swedish cities of Stockholm and Malmo, along with Copenhagen in Denmark, will play host to the Vietnamese culture week scheduled to take place from September 4 to 12, announced the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The event aims to celebrate 55 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Sweden, and to promote Vietnamese culture in Denmark.
Local talents from the Vietnam National Academy of Music will join international artists in art programmes in both Nordic countries. The shows will feature traditional Vietnamese musical instruments, as well as both jazz and classical music.
Furthermore, a music gala will get underway in Stockholm to mark the 55th anniversary of Vietnam-Sweden diplomatic ties.
Vietnamese artists will also take part in a cultural exchange to be held at the Malmö Academy of Music in Sweden, with a view to boosting the friendship and mutual understanding that exists between both countries.
Moreover, the Vietnam Culture and Arts Exhibition Center under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will host photo exhibitions highlighting the colour of Vietnamese culture in Sweden and Denmark, thereby bringing new aspects of daily lives and landscape of Vietnam to foreign friends.
A Vietnam-Sweden trade and investment promotion forum, a ceremony to celebrate the 79th National Day of Vietnam on September 2, and an Ao Dai (traditional long dress) fashion show will also get underway as part of the event.
