Vietnamese cultural festival introduced to RoK
(VOV) - The fifth Vietnamese culture festival has been held in Gwangmyong, the Republic of Korea to mark 70th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day and 23 years of diplomatic ties between the two nations.
The event attended by nearly 2,000 overseas Vietnamese. Aside from introducing Vietnam’s cultural characteristics, the highlight of the festival was to launch a fundraising program for Vietnam’s sovereignty over sea and island, as well as a contest to introduce Vietnam’s tourism in the RoK.
During the festival, Counsellor Tran Anh Vu from the Vietnamese Embassy in the RoK highlighted efforts by the Vietnamese Association in the RoK in heightening solidarity and strengthening mutual cooperation towards the homeland. Specifically, the launch of a fund-raising program reflected patriotism of overseas Vietnamese in the RoK, he said.
