Vietnamese Cuisine Day proves a hit amongst French public

VOV.VN - The French city of Perpignan hosted a Vietnamese Cuisine Day event from October 17- 18, attracting large numbers of visitors keen on sampling Vietnamese cuisine.

Vietnamese chefs work tirelessly to carve fruits, decorate meals, and make edible sculptures from their delicious food.
The cuisine on show at the event come from three of the nation’s regions, with the chefs having the chance to show off their skills to attendees.
Each dish gives chefs the chance to tell a cultural story and advertise Vietnamese destinations to a French audience.
Several well-decorated cakes and sweet soup dishes are popular among the French guests.
Souvenir cards at the event also give visitors the opportunity to offer feedback and express their love for Vietnamese cuisine.
 
The occasion also plays host to a number of cultural activities, including art performances, and workshops on eight of Vietnam’s UNESCO heritages sites and Vietnamese culinary art.
