Vietnamese beauty departs for Miss Tourism World 2024 in China
VOV.VN - Local representative Bui Thu Thuy left Hanoi on December 29 to head to China as she prepares to compete in the Miss Tourism World 2024 pageant.
The 21-year-old beauty hails from the northern province of Thai Binh, stands at 1.74 metres tall, and is currently a student at the National University of Art Education.
Most notably, Thuy has previous experience participating in beauty pageants and claimed several prizes, including winning the third runner-up title of Miss Fitness Supermodel Vietnam back in 2023.
Originally launched in 1991, Miss Tourism World has grown to become one of the five largest beauty pageants in the world. The competition is also expected to help popularize tourism in the host nation.
Most recently, Miss Tourism World 2022 was organized in Vietnam and the winner was named as Erina Hanawa of Japan. Vietnamese representative Huong Ly won the second runner-up title during the beauty contest.
This year’s edition of the pageant is scheduled to take place in China from December 30 to January 12, 2025.
