Vietnamese athletes to attend 27th Summer Universiade
(VOV) -14 Vietnamese athletes will participate in the 27th Summer Universiade, which is scheduled to take place in Kazan, Russia from July 7-17.
The country’s team will involve four disciplines including athletics, table tennis, chess and gymnastics.
Tran Quang Quy, Chairman of the Vietnam Student Sports Association and Deputy Minister of Education and Training, expressed his hope that the athletes will contribute to promoting the image of a beautiful and friendly Vietnam in the spirit of solidarity.
During the festival, a series of activities including music performances, travel tour will also be held.
The biannual event is a good opportunity for students across the world to exchange experience and strengthen friendship.
At the previous Universiade in Singapore, Vietnam won one silver and three bonzes.
